Mordialloc College Year 10 student Jess Turner recently played for the State Volleyball team during the School Sport Australia Tournament. Jess played in the grand final on Friday 9 June and the team defeated Queensland in three sets: 25-23, 25-23, 25-22.

The team played in five pool rounds over three days and finished at the top of the ladder undefeated.

Tuesday – Victoria d Queensland 3-2: 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 12-25, 12-12

Victoria d ACT 3-0: 25-23, 25-22, 25-12

Wednesday – Victoria d South Australia 3-0: 25-8, 25-19, 25-22

Victoria  d New South Wales 3-0: 25-15, 25-23, 25-16

Thursday – Victoria d Western Australia 3-0: 25-10, 25-17, 25-11
