This year we have continued to forge partnerships with our local feeder primary schools. We have our established partnerships with Edithvale PS for Science and Aspendale PS for Numeracy. This year Science Learning Area Leader, Matt Brooks, has continued our work with Edithvale PS in Science with students in Grade 4-6 having the opportunity to visit Mordialloc College each term to engage in some hands on activities in the Discovery Centre to enhance their own science program. Thanks to Laboratory Technician Leeann Lees for assisting Matt with this initiative. George Tzimourtas, Director of Middle School, has continued to support the Grade 5/6 team at Aspendale PS with their numeracy program. George attended Aspendale PS every Thursday morning for an hour to teach in their numeracy program. This year, we have extended our Science initiative to Aspendale PS and Mordialloc Beach PS and Justin Wischusen is working one morning a week for an hour at Chelsea PS to support their numeracy and science program.
