Our Principal has been shortlisted for a prestigious award

All of our accomplishments and successes are due to our fantastic students and extremely dedicated staff.  Outstanding programs are driven by innovative and motivated staff.  At the helm is our hard working  Principal, Michelle Roberts. Now, in her ninth year as Principal at Mordialloc College, she has been shortlisted for a Victorian Education Excellence Award.

Each year inspirational teachers, principals, business managers and education support staff are recognised for outstanding achievement. Award categories include outstanding primary and secondary teachers, principals and business managers, school improvement, Koorie education, inclusive education and education support. New specialist award categories in 2019 will also recognise excellence in global teaching and learning, and in physical education. All finalists are in the running to win professional development grants of up to $25,000 to support their work in schools.

Of all the secondary colleges in the state, Michelle is one of three finalists in  the Outstanding Secondary Principal Award.  We will need to wait until Friday 25 October, when the award ceremony is held, to find out the result.  In her truly devoted way, Michelle will actually be absent from the awards as she will be attending our Year 12 Valedictory Dinner.  We all wish Michelle the very best.
