Facility Development

Categories: News

I would like to highlight some exciting developments this year that many of you will already know about. We were allocated $1.3million in last years state budget and plans are now in place for the development of a Performing Arts Centre. After an application and interview process, we have appointed MINX Architecture as the principal consultants for the project. They worked with the College in the development of the Hub back in 2012 and in the refurbishment of the Year 7 Learning Centre in 2013.

The Performing Arts Centre will be constructed this year and will be located where the senior forum is. Our senior students now have a new study centre which was completed over the holidays, utilising the space of D1 and surrounding offices. C3, our current performing arts space will be demolished once the new centre is in operation. In addition, Labor have committed $4.5 million to the College which we will hopefully hear announced in the May budget. This would see the development of a gymnasium in 2016 plus more!
