Onsite and Remote Learning Important Information August 2020

Based on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, metropolitan Melbourne will move to Stage 4 restrictions. As advised via email, we will be moving to remote and flexible learning for all Year 7 – 12 students from Wednesday 5th August 2020 and this is likely to apply until the end of Term 3.

Onsite and Remote Learning Important Information July 2020

Based on the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, schools in these areas will move to remote and flexible learning from Monday 20th July 2020 for all students except for:

  • Years 11 and 12
  • students in Year 10 undertaking VCE or VCAL study

Return to Onsite Learning Important Information May 2020

Following advice from the Victorian Government on Tuesday 12 May, some students will be returning to school from Tuesday 26 May.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has advised that it is safe for Victorian school students and teachers to return to on-site schooling in a two-staged approach:

  • Stage 1 – from Tuesday 26 May

Early years students (Prep to Grade 2) and senior secondary students (Year 11 and 12) undertaking the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), and all specialist school students will return to on-site schooling. All staff will attend on-site.

  • Stage 2 – from Tuesday 9 June

Grade 3 to Year 10 students will return to on-site schooling, subject to health advice.

Student Wellbeing – We are open for business!

Be assured that the availability of Wellbeing Team support to our College community remains in place during remote learning.

We appreciate that these unique times could bring different wellbeing needs to our school community and as a Wellbeing Team, we are ready to support you at this time.

Referrals can be made to the wellbeing team via our email: wellbeing@mc.vic.edu.au A member of the wellbeing team will initially contact you via email or phone.

With consent from parents/carers, this contact could also include the use of video calls using the Google Meet platform with students to provide wellbeing counselling and support.

The Wellbeing Team staff and their hours will remain the same:
They will be available for wellbeing support 9.00 am – 3.30 pm
